Got a Corona Old Boy!

Greetings everyone!

Day off work today, I thought I would drive up to Sacramento, about 80 miles from where I live and stop by the Briar Patch Pipe Cigar Store. I do business with them over the net, and order tobacco from them. Always receive great service from them!

I thought it would be fun to meet those folks in person.

Was great meeting those folks, very nice people to do business with. Long story short, I ended up buying a Corona Old Boy!!

Now I know what all the raves are about regarding this lighter! Love it!

I was invited to sample some tobacco, I told the gentleman, "You mean you can smoke in here?" He said, yes of course! You cannot do that in most places in the San Francisco Bay area where I live. emoticon

Great way to spend a few hours! I could have got a little bit better price else where on the net, but nice to support a "local business" when I can.

Best to all!

Bob

Congrats Bob, on the new lighter. An Old Boy none-the-less. If I didn't like my Zippo so much, I might think about getting one myself some day.

Enjoy your new lighter. emoticon

I got my Old Boy a few years ago and never have been sorry. I use the Old Boy in the house, and the Zippo outside. The one down side to the Old Boy is that it is pretty much useless if even a slight breeze is blowing.

Steve, have you tried the new formula fuel in the Zippo yet? Cuts down on the naptha taste considerably.

Bob...good deal! Never owned an Old Boy...maybe you could send it to me...for testing purposes only! I promise to send it back "right away!" emoticon emoticon

It's good to support your local B&M when possible. I try to get into JFH whenever I'm in Springfield. They have a great lounge area, and of course, those yummy "Middle Earth" tobaccos.

Bet it was a pleasant surprise to find a pipe-friendly shop after all the anti-attitude in SF.

I am a real fan of OT actually. I work a four ten schedule, but for the past couple of years my department has been short handed with no end in sight, so I have been able to work most every Friday.

The OT check goes in the savings account and we use a chunk of that for projects around the house, (Thats how I painted it this year.)

My lovely bride and I have a deal. She dips in when she needs some foolish woman thing, and I dip for important stuff like pipes.

It never has worked as well for me as for her. She always seems to need more "stuff", and for some reason I never seem to be able to tell her no.

Jim, perhaps that's why your marriage has lasted as long as it has. One has to keep perspective. emoticon

Absolutely Scott!

Fortunately for me, I never have been very high maintainance. I don't require a lot to be happy.
