Re: The First GPSF Box Pass!
Well, I got a paper in the box that the boxpass landed. I picked it up at the post office right before work and looked through it fast in the parking lot at work......... All I can say is "WOW"
There is a lot in this one already and I've spotted a few nice pipes and some blends I've been wanting to try out.
I'm home now and looking thru it some more now. I sure like the Swinks freehand and there is a nice little Featherweight too.
For those that want to see the order without looking up the other thread.........
Rob Anderson...Sedalia Indiana
Steve Greathouse...Licking, Missouri
Tim Haviland...West Plains, Missouri
Jim Gavin...Salem Oregon
Roger Price...Huachuca City, Arizona
Ken Wilson...El Mirage, Arizona
Brandon Labudde...Phoenix, Arizona
Ted Haviland...Summersville, Missouri
Burl Brooks...Millmont, Pensylvania
Tom Haviland...Laton, California
Anyway, I'm gonna have some fun with this one.

Re: The First GPSF Box Pass!
Well, I didn't take long with the box. We were going to Tim's so I hand delivered it.
Takes: Swinks Monster Freehand and a Kings Cross Featherweight. (The featherweight smokes like a champ and doesn't get hot at all. It also weighs nothing at all. I also took a sealed tin of British Woods.
Puts: Stanwell Danish Star and a nice little Georg Jensen bent pipe. I also put in a sealed tin of Haunted Bookshop.
I don't think the Stanwell or the HB will make it past Tim's.
Thanks for putting this together Burl and Ted. And again, sorry for the disappointment that the one I started turned out to be.

Re: The First GPSF Box Pass!
That Swinks is a monster for sure. Even though I smoke large pipes, that Swinks just did'nt do it for me. I sure hope it gets a good home and is smoked and loved.---Bob Shuey

Re: The First GPSF Box Pass!
I was sorely tempted on that one Bob, but I'm sure Steve will give it the care and attention id deserves. Thanks for helping Burl to seed this pass.....well done!

Re: The First GPSF Box Pass!
I sure hope everyone is as excited as I am about this. Its really cool to be able to participate in something like this. I tried to find the ugliest pipes I could to put in the box pass. I tried to find one as ugly as Ted, but they dont make 'em THAT ugly. LOL
