New Kirsten Pipe.....
I have been smoking a New Kirsten "Lancer" for about a week now. From what I am told this is there largest model. Well overall I like it alot, It is with out a doubt my coolest smoking pipe.......I have a new intresting problem, I was always on the lookout for the MILDEST Aromatic's and have found a few that I really enjoy in a Briar. The problem is if I find them MILD in a briar there is almost NO FLAVOR in the Kirsten. The GOOD news is many Tobacco's I found to strong before are now WONDERFUL in the Kirsten. I guess I just need to seperate my baccy's into strenght catagorys, my question is: anyone have any experiance with the little Kirsten "Jewel" my thoughts are because it is smaller (less Radiator) it may let more flavor through for my MILD Aro's. Any Thoughts?

Re: New Kirsten Pipe.....
I have been focusing on Aromatic pipe tobacco but ordered some "Squdaron Leader" just because it appears on so many of you alls favorites list....well my fist time smoking it in a briar I did not finish it because I found it a bit srong, but before totally writing it off I loaded some in my Kirsten and WOW! this is really good stuff. It is now in my top 5 favorite Baccys. I was surprised that the pipe itself could have such a dramatic effect on taste of tobacco......now if I can just find the correct pipe to smoke VA's in.......

Re: New Kirsten Pipe.....
THe pipe you smoke in does matter. If you find a blend that's too strong (or too flat) in one pipe, don't write it off. Try changing to a larger or smaller bowl. Flakes especially, come alive in small pipes. Try large diameter bowls for your Va's. It works for me......
