Peter's pipe has arrived...
Just wanted you all to know that Peter's Manx "John Bull" has arrived at its new home. I've admired this pipe for some time as many of you might know. It arrived here this afternoon and while I'm delighted with the pipe, I'm also saddened by the circumstances of its acquisition.
Peter and I PM'd often, mostly about meerschaums. We swapped pipes and tobaccos on many an occasion.....I miss him. This pipe will be my "connection" to a man Whom I never had the pleasure of meeting, but who I fondly called friend.
My deepest thanks to Maureen, the boys, and to Jim, for allowing me custody of this very special pipe...it will be treasured!

Re: Peter's pipe has arrived...
Thanks for the photo Jimbo....I was going to post a couple tomorrow when I'm at a computer that can handle such silliness. This old "beater" is ten+ years old and slower-n molasses...
