As we say goodbye to 2008 and await the arrival of 2009, I would like to thank all of you for a wonderful ride. We've had our ups and downs, some members have gone by the way, and others have found our little corner of the net. We have discovered new tobaccos, pipes and ideas. Through the interaction of our members, we've become more than "members", we've become close friends. Distance and borders have no effect on the camaraderie that has bloomed over the last twelve, and with this in mind, I wish to send all of you my thanks for a wonderful 2008, and my best wishes for a happy, prosperous and safe 2009.

This place sure has been a life-saver for me.Even thi I don't post much reading it and talking to Ted sure has helped me thu a very emotional and tough time and it continues to do so!!!

Well, we are all in it together. I have never known of anyone that got through this life without a few scrapes and bruses, some of them pretty big ones. I firmly believe that we are here to help each other in whatever way we can. Even something as simple as stopping by to say "hi" can make all the difference if it comes at the right time.
