Tona's accident

My daughter was run off the road last evening while passing a logging truck. She ended upside down in a creek bed about 10 feet below the roadway.

As you can see, she's in pretty good shape considering. Two broken ribs, a sprained wrist and a large mouse on her right cheek...lots of minor bumps, scrapes and bruises.

Her first look after the car was towed out of the creek. She was just realizing how close she came. The blessing in all of this is that the kids weren't with her.

When you see your kids next time, give them a BIG hug.....one never knows. emoticon

Holy Cow Ted. So glad to see she is OK considering what could have happened. I've had accidents like that, and it makes you realize that "it's only a car" and in the end what really matters is that she is safe.

Hope she recovers soon. (as an experienced "broken rib guy" tell her to try to not laugh or sneeze if she can).

Well wishes,

Johnny

It doesnt matter about the car. I'm so glad to see your daughter still in one piece after a horrific acident like that one. I hope she recovers quickly from her injuries. You are in my thoughts.

Looks even worse in the pictures Ted than in your original post.
It's frightening what could have happened (but, thank God, it didn't).

From the look of the car she was very lucky.

Good to hear she was not beat up terribly bad. The car can be replaced, the kids...not so much.

Thanks for the well-wishes gang, I'll pass them on to her. I'm sure she will appreciate them. she's one sore puppy this AM but doing quite well. Her spirits are up....talking about what kind of "new" car she wants. Her 5 year old son reamed her good for breaking his window and denting the roof! Kids have no mercy on mom-n-dad... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I came on this one a bit late, but make sure you tell Tona that April and I send our love. I'm sure glad to hear she's ok. Pat Mcmanus always said that logging tucks were one of the biggest hazards out there. Seems as he wasnt far from wrong....
