A Hello from New Jersey Hi all,
I'm new to this forum but mostly post on SF, I see a few on here that I recognise, so I'll just jump in and say that this looks like another finely run board.
Looking forward to adding to this forum as well.
Have a great day.
Re: A Hello from New Jersey John, good too have you here......... Glad you found us and you are correct, this is a great forum, lots smaller than SF but in a good way.
Enjoy your time here and post often. And don't forget our regular chat on Saturday nights at 7:00p.m. Central time.
By the way....... you just received a package from me...... Hint Hint (as too who I am on SF)
Re: A Hello from New Jersey Welcome to our little slice of heaven John. We're a good bunch of folks here, always looking out for each other. It's more of a family than a forum.....make yourself to home. Help yourself to a pipe and some tobacco...over there on the shelf...and enjoy!

Re: A Hello from New Jersey Hey John - This is John II on SF, but just John here. Welcome to GPSF, you will enjoy it here. I was stationed in Monmouth Co. NJ from 59-62 at a Nike site near Keyport and loved it there.
It was called Telegraph hill and there's a big arena of some kind on it now.

Re: A Hello from New Jersey Hi, John. I spent 3.5 years in NJ starting back in 75 when I was stationed at NWS Earle as Marine security for the ordinance they had there. I remember it was arse biting cold in the winter and comparible to Houston in the summer. I also remember bugs there that would make your foot move when you stepped on 'em. Came back to CO when I got out of the Corps and never had a desire to return to the Garden State.
Money was tight for Christmas one year and I sold my unsmoked Karl Eric freestyle to a tobacconist in Eatontown. I wonder who has that beautiful piece now...
