i'd like to fix this if its possible
i have a problem with one of my favorite pipes, i like to be able to run a cleaner through my pipe about half way through a smoke to clean any moisture or anything else out of the airway, but on one of my favs the cleaner won't go all the way to the bottom of the bowl, i think it gets stuck at the end of the stem, do you guys know of any way to fix this.

First thing to try...slightly bend the end end of the pipe cleaner and try turning it at the point it gets "stuck" to see if it might pass that way. You may need to try varying degrees of bends on the end of the cleaners. I have a few pipes that this works on that otherwise won't pass a cleaner.

Cowboy, is this pipe a straight, 1/4, half or full bent?

You need to look in the mortice to see if the drilling into the bowl is dead center. This is important...otherwise the cleaner will run into the base of the mortice, stopping its passage. What kind of pipe is it....what manufacture?

I'm surprised....I would expect an Erik to pass a cleaner. Is it as I suspect, a mis-drilled draw-hole?

Re: i'd like to fix this if its possible
I have fixed several of my cheap pipes myself. Buy doing a bit of light work on the hole at the bottom of the mortis with a drillbit.
If the pipe is gurgling, try what I do, which works everytime, lightly blow back into the pipe, it moves the moisture back into the tobacco making the gurgle instantly go away.

it is drilled wrong, which is a surprise to me to, karl erik is one of my favorite pipe makers and its a big shock to not be able to pass a cleaner.
