Can't get the flowers out of a Grabow???

I need a little advice.

Some time ago I bought a tin of G&H Ennerdale Flake and smoked one bowl in a favored little Grabow dublin. Since that time I have smoked roughly 8 to 10 bowls of my typical preferred baccy and a salt and alcohol treatment and still taste the Ennerdale towards the bottom of the bowl.

Any ideas on how to get that Lakeland scent out of this pipe?

Never had a baccy hang on to a pipe this long.

Rob, Have you tried smoking lots of PA in it to neutralize the lakeland ghost? Stump recommended this to me one time and it worked. Took about 15 bowls though.

Rob... If the salt & alcohol didn't do it, nothing will. You might as well just send the brute to me. (Just kidding!)

Jack has the right idea. It'll take a while (unfortunatly) but you *should* Be able to smoke the soap out of it. Try half bowls....seems the ghosts are in the bottom half of the bowl. Over time, it should heal.

Oh...next time you want to sample one of those flowery, soapy baccys, use a cob!

Wait.....he LIKES cobs....never mind! Use one of those sissy pipes with the silly white spot on the stem....they're expendable anyhow.... emoticon emoticon emoticon

Actually, I have a bit of "Gross Mire" here....it ain't bad. I smoke it in an old yard pipe though....no sense in ruining a good pipe! emoticon emoticon If you're a Lakeland fan, Kendall Rum Flake will have you blowing soap bubbles in no time flat. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
