Stanwell Impregnated Cloth

When I had purchased the Bjarne Giant in SC, the lady had thrown in a Stanwell impregnated pipe care cloth. I didn't really give it much thought at the time and just tossed it into the messenger bag that holds my pipe gear.

While sitting here in Maine waiting for dispatch to find me a load out of here I came across the cloth while rummaging through the bag for my pipe cleaners.

I decided to give it a try. First I tried it on my Savinelli as it had some finger smudges on it. Wow! What a difference it made.

After using the green side to wipe down the pipe I used the opposite, whitish/tan side to buff it. The thing shines better than new.

I immediately started in on all my other briars, even the rather dull looking Dr Grabows. Even they came out shining nicely, better than new.

I'm sure many of you are old hands with these cloths, but it's something new to me. I wish I had tried one of these things years ago. It's fantastic for a quick clean and polish.

I've heard of them Mason, but not tried one...sounds like a "keeper"!

I had thought about picking one up a few times but never did. Sounds like I should have.
