Well hello, and welcome to you madcap. You have landed in the right place. You will find bigger and more active boards around the net, but few that are friendlier. emoticon

Hello.
You say reacquainted - how long were you off pipes? Is what you smoked before what you like to smoke now?

Welcome to GPSF! Pull up a chair and set a spell. What pipes/baccys are you partial to?

As Jim said, we're a small friendly bunch....kind of family. All in all, a great group....make yourself to home.

Glad to have you here...I'm a native Texan myself(Denison) lived in Dallas and Houston mostly; not big on cigars though; havn't been back to Tx in 30 years.

I prefer English and Balkan blends and as far as pipes go, Savinelli's seem to treat me right; however, I also have a few Meerschaums that I enjoy. Also have a Falcon that I work into the rotation.
