Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
Current members of Gypsyfoot, Nolyn Falcon and Chad Falcon were once members of a country band with their father Bill Falcon. The two brothers in the band named Los Lonely Boys also were in a country band with their father and the name of their band was THE FALCONS. For a years supply of belly buttom lint, is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true? Rules may apply and if there is not enough belly button lint other prizes may be awarded at my discreation. Please submit your answers to this forum soon, as Christmas will soon be here. Other myth suggestions are welcome.

Re: Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
Finally someone got the answer, It was Seth who answered correctly. Only he gave his answer in the quest book instead of the forum. I'm out of belly button lint but can substitute dust bunnies, if Seth sends me a self addressed, post paid envelope to send it all the way to him in California.

Re: Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
Well, I suppose I ought to confirm that this is indeed a truth. Chad and I moved up to Williston, ND in December of 2002 to live with our father, William Falcon. We stayed at his place for a while until we realized that getting our own place was absolutely necessary, with an abrupt enforcement of rent having something to do with that. Somewhere in the midst of the madness that is Williston, we decided to form a four-piece country band with a local drummer and called ourselves "Due North" which eventually turned into "True North". My dad being the aggressive guy that he is, decided to book us at a local bar in town two weeks in advance, fully knowing that we hadn't yet played a single country song in our lives. "Hahaha, you'd better get started then huh?" he said to us in a sinister voice. That meant that Chad and I had to learn 60 or so country songs in less than two weeks. "HOLY CRAP!" we thought. I sympathized with Chad during this time of panic, since he had his hands completely full with new chord progressions and oodles of lyrics to learn. But at the same time, I was more concerned with the fact that, as an aspiring guitarist, I'd never 'twanged' before. For those that don't know, 'twanging' is an essential part of 'country pickin' as they call it. Well, I spent some considerably long hours practicing my 'twang' until I felt it was 'twangy' enough for a country crowd to appreciate. Although I nearly burnt myself out on the '4-hour-twang-a-thons' that would follow every weekend for the next year, I still find myself 'twanging' every once and a while with GypsyFoot. They might not always find my 'twang' to be appropriate (in a reggae song for instance), but I think they've learned to appreciate it or at least tune it out, one of the two. I don't think I'll ever stop twanging for as long as there's a bull to be ridden.
Anyway, about a year later, we decided that the country band lifestyle (smokey bars full of drunken two-steppers with the occasional booby-flashing and bar-fight for instance) couldn't be our cup of tea forever, so we looked for something more. That something more turned out to be GypsyFoot. The rest is history. No, I take that back. The rest is the past, present and future. Wild huh?
Nolyn

Re: Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
Truth or Myth #2
Every since Roger was a small child up in northern Minnesota all he wanted to do was play drums. Roger wanted to build up his hand percussion stamina, so he begain hand exercises that included walking on his hands. When he moved to Bismarck, someone heard about his ability and challaged Roger to walk up the ND State Capitol steps, on his hands, all 800 of them. Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true. No prizes this time just the satisfaction of knowing the truth. You don't have to use your real name! Geno

Truth or Myth #3
Joseph Vincent McCauley (Joe) was once in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. He played the character, Pontus Pilate. Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true? Who among you knows the answer to this intriging question? Geno

Re: Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
Truth or Myth #2 - It has to be true. Any man who can rip the sick sets Roger can HAS to be able to walk the steps of the state capital on his hands. I couldn't imagine anything less.
Truth or Myth #3 - Man, if I was a thespian at one point in my life than Joe damn sure could've been too. This is no myth folks.

Re: Is this a GYPSYFOOT urban myth or is it true?
It's time to respond about Truth or Myth #3. Yes Joe was in Jesus Christ Superstar. As for Truth or Myth #2 I'm sorry to say Roger can't walk on his hands this is all a BIG LIE made up to spark interest in the GF Forum. But wait if I told you that Ira, the other half of the Gypsyfoot drumming duo, was able to walk on his hands for two blocks and that he has broken both his wrists no less than 8 times each, you'd probably scoff and say "cut out this sillyness". So for GYPSYFOOT urban myth #4. Could Ira really walk on his hands and did he really break both of his wrists a total of 16 times. This time I'm holding my breath till someone answers. I can almost hear you saying please do. Geno
