10,000 Lakes Festival
 The 10,000 Music Festival is July 22, 23, and 24. You can submit the name of your favorite band to have a slot to play a gig at this festival by sending an email to: bands@10klf.com. I have sent one about GypsyFoot, but the more people that do this the better chance GypsyFoot has at getting a chance to play this show. I wrote something on the lines that GypsyFoot is a high energy world fusion jam band from Bismarck ND, who just released their self titled CD and every song is awsome and very diverse. I love their CD, but their live performances are really great, and their high energy really comes through at every show they play.  Just use your imagination and give them your opinion on GypsyFoot. I'm sure Noyln will post something about this on the site, but the sooner the better, I say. Rock On, Geno

Please keep sugesting GypsyFoot for the 10,000 Lakes Festival. If you have than, have your friends suggest GypsyFoot. Come on Minot, Bottineau, Belcourt, Grand Forks, Fargo-Moorhead. Bis-man, ****inson, Williston, Rapid City, Sturgis, oh heck all you out in California, Oregon, Washington. The west coast, the midwest, hell the whole USA and all of you that read this anywhere in the world. This could be big if every-one gave the effort that GypsyFoot does practicing, compossing, playing gigs and just plain working hard at what they all love so much. The address is: bands@10klf.com. Another thing that is kinda exciting is: garageband.com. The song Victoria's Waltz has a 5 out of 5 rating and is 5th in Experimental Music. In fact it was the number 1 on 4-20-05, I believe. Yes, thanks to everyone that has voted so far! We greatly appreciate it. We recently signed on to a battle of the bands in detroit lakes on June 24th in which the top 3 bands will also get slots in the festival. This might help our chances, but the fact remains that the more the festival people hear about us, the less they can ignore us! So anything you can do to help would be sweet. Indeed....I even strolled into the Members Lounge and gave my "two cents" worth.
I listened to all other potential players as well. Lots of great players, The Promoters of the Bluegrass Festival at Cross Ranch State Park, in the fall, should give The Smokin'Bandits a call...I haven't had much of a reason to get up there lately. Alabaster Browns "Sneaky Tom" is a real hoot as well...but, GypsyFoot is still the top players for this Wandering Minstrels Venue....or gathering, hands down.
