I've Invented a Flying Machine!

BREAKING NEWS! Mid-Summer 290 A.T.

Tucked away in a small corner in the bustling Bordegan city of Rakstalak there is a tiny shop with where black smoke, swearing, and explosions are frequent. This good little shop run by a charismatic young halfling has been starting up quite a small but definite ruckus in the gnomish community and inventors alike.

This small group of carefree gnomes, run by their dwarven foreman, have managed to start the creation of overland flight! Staring in the business of making children's toys, random trinkets (such as the Hand Cranked Drill, EverDamp Rags, Automatic Braider, Adjustable Spectacles, Lifter Boots, the Sand Misplacer, and many others) this group decided to try for bigger and better things and while investigating the uncommon myth of Dijinni Rot Spores they came across an interesting theory (which they have yet to release to the public). From said theory they created the "Drizziwalt Coobelit!" which translates from gnomish into "The Amazing Flying Flippajug!"

This vehicle (a balloon) lets the group of gnomes (4) ride high into the sky with seemingly nothing but a type of air. This device flys at amazing speeds and can travel across the entire contineent of Bordega in a matter of 3 days (winds depending). These gnomes are also applying their new knowledge of flying in other places and are starting to develop new and Grander ideas. More to come as this story develops.
