DnD Characters
I know there was already a "character contest" section but that was only for Jared's group and going nowhere. This section is for posting character concepts for any group.

Re: DnD Characters
My current character for Ryan's group:

Deity: Boccob
Age: 26
Height and Weight: 6' 140 lbs.
Eyes and Hair color: Gray blue, Raven.
HP: 44
AC: 13
Stats:
STR: 8
DEX: 14
CON: 12
INT: 18
WIS: 18
CHA: 8
F/R/W: 5/5/9

Feats/special abilities: quicken spell, sudden maximize, scribe scroll, sudden shift, aquire familiar. (Any suggestions here? Remember I am going mystic theurge).

Arcane spells known: magic missile, spell flower, Shocking grasp, silent image, disguise self, feather fall, boiling blood, invisibility.
Divine spells: 0-3rd level.
Background:
A mage hailing from Vendega, Albert or Al finds himself quite at home in the Crystal Kingdom. While not a part of the psions or cerebromancers, He fit in with many of the other apprentice mages during his childhood. He is somewhat reclusive and likes to study alone especially when it comes to magic(which he takes very seriously). This does not mean, however that he has no interest in others or what is going on around him. He has a habit of keeping tabs on those around him and looking into the past of others, which sometimes got him into trouble as a apprentice. This was a habit he perhaps picked up from the psions around him. He has little need for the morals of the Crystal Knights but is interested in their efforts. After his many years of study of the arcane arts he now seeks to travel and practice his art (and pursue his hobby). With his new found companions he is learning much about the world already and is enjoying his recently-gained divine abilities. Dieing wasn't too much fun but it's good to be back.

Re: DnD Characters
Mystic Theurge and the like are traps early on, but eventually they're worth it.

Re: DnD Characters
I'll remind you a low charisma can mean a lot of different things. For example a certain trasnmuter in Leylines had quite a low score and still was the leader.

Re: DnD Characters
Charisma (comes straight from the PHB pg.9)-
charisma measures a character's force of personality, persuasiveness, personal magnetism, ability to lead, and physical attractiveness. this ability represents actual strength of personality, not merely how one is perceived by others in a social setting.
all of which u should rp very poorly, and i cant believe i let u lead us around if u had such a poor cha

Re: DnD Characters
"It's not the stat that means everything, its the authority and the role playing ability to be a leader."
-Ryan
Because I have a low CHA I should role play poorly? That makes no sense at all.
Anyway this part of the forum is meant for posting characters not debating stats and role playing.

Re: DnD Characters
no, ur a fool for misunderstanding what i was saying... u should rp CHA poorly u should learn to read everything before making a judgement next time
and by ryans views that means that stats mean nothing when u rp which is the stupidest statement ive ever heard. stats are what make the basis of ur character... they make up ur smarts, ur wits, ur personality, even how tough u r. u cant make a character with 6 wis and then let them run around rping like they understand everything that is happening around them. or having a person play 6 int and let them rp like they know perfect english and speak with perfect grammer.
finally this argument fits this forum perfectly because we r speaking about ur character that u plan on playing.

Re: DnD Characters
Alright for one, your being an asshole. Now I'm going to be one. Yes stats make up the bassis of a character but it doesnt neccissarily make up a leadership role in ANY respects. Yes, charaisma is always good for a leader, it makes them a natural leader! But leaders aren't always the person with hte most charisma the leader is a person people look up to and a person people listen to when their giving orders. A great example is our denver group OUR LEADER IS A 6 CHA DWARF! We don't follow him because of his great people skills we follow him because HE knows what hes doing in combat and knows how to lead a miltary unit. The whole reason that Cody was put in the position of a leader in Leylines wasn't because of his charisma it was because of his intelligence that you guys followed him, he was smart so most of you listened to what he said. And another thing on the note of charisma, just because its low doesn't mean the you have the personality of a rock, you can take low charisma so many more ways. Another example is mikes dwarf, he had low charisma but still managed to play it awesomely, he played it like it was, just an unfriendly asshole like dwarf, but he managed to take that low cha type of personality and still make it trememdously fun to play with. And i never said that "STATS DON"T MATTER IN THE ROLE PLAYING ASPECT" as said stats don't matter in a leadership aspect, get it straight, its all about how you roleplay a character that gives it its leaderlike qualities.

AHH! I AM OFFENDED!!
