4.0 Extravaganza - Eladrin, humans, and garden tools, oh my!

In response to the "redmond group" I have dubbed it necessary to fill them in on what we have done with our unholy amount of gaming hours. The 4.0 excitement shall be something to talk about for years to come.

Chapter 1: The Babysitters! (Written by the point of view of Kloglop, a goblin bard and follower of corellen, trained by a certain half-orc... following Kamos from a safe distance)

Larien and Kamos, two eladrin rivals under the same master Badan, are finally coming into their own and being considered for the much awaited promotion to full mage status. Their first task was very daunting, as master Badan soon relayed to them: they needed to baby sit his niece and go pick some flowers.

So the two very enthusiastic eladrin struck out on the short voyage north into the mountains, with their new charge... a former halfelven slave. Master Badan has some history he doesnt want known apparently.

Eventually, with very little difficulty, the three arrived at the site of the flowers, an old decrepit temple. Lo and behold, when the flowers bloomed that night under the full moon, so arose their protectors! The ghosts came as if from nowhere, screeching in their ghostly mind-whispers that noone was about to be taking their precious flowers. Larien, being the almighty mage that he is, threw the first magic missile, which missed completely and soared past his opponents into the darkness.

After a short and relatively painless battle, the heroes, of course, vanquished their foes and were able to gather a FULL bag of flowers. They were ecstatic to return home to tell the Master.

Nothing is ever that simple, however. When they finally reached the road that was on the final stretch to the city, the intrepid adventurers happened upon a poor and lowly dwarf being harassed for his toll. Knowing full well the shenanigans being pulled, and having none of it, the two would-be mages gave the brigands a full dose of their magical might and layed many of them low. The dwarf, named Trowel, decided to stay with the group for the rest of the trip back to the city of mages.

Yes...for years to come, I'm sure THIS will go down in the history books, perhaps requires a post on the wizard's boards so they can steal it and turn it into a supplement, or append it to their 'how a game should work' section of the PHB?
