Jared's Badass Group Writeup
Everyone knows being trained as a Trenta Elite is from birth, bathed in the fires of combat. Us trents are desendents from Hercules, himself.
Our general, chosen from our King, Helios, is a wise and powerful man, we could not have been granted a greater honor than to be sent from our post-duty to work under his wing. Maximus, our new recruit, and I, Heahn, have been sent to watch our General's ass if anything were to get a little bit sticky, but my feelings sense something deeper than that.
Helios has chosen us for a reason. He are the best Trenta's he could ask for. And now he has been sent on a mission, to help an old woman. It seems glamourous not, but aside from our guard duty this is the best damn thing that could happen to either of us. We've not seen combat in some time.
As the three of us march to a small village just south of Trenta, a lone wanderer notices our colors of Ebony, and tries to join along. We notice some potential in him, as many Trenta's can sense within anyone, and let him tag along, as long as he knows we have no time to babysit.
After asking around the small town we find the old woman, who is nearly wanting the help to find her lost sons and daughters. Being adventurers themselves, it's good to know they have a worried mother back home to greet them when they are down, as Trenta's do not.
We unregretably agree. She reassures us that if they are not one piece when we find them, bring back their family ring. She sends us off in the direction they last went, and we buy horses after tearing holes in our pocket-bag.
Our little friend, Veragon, tells us he is some kind of archer, which he proves to us first-fight. As Maximus and I lay by the fire, telling war stories and filling him in on things (as so he doesn't make newbie mistakes, these young ones do tend to be that way), we hear sounds approaching from the rear. We wake everyone and discover that starved wolves the size of...a little bit bigger than a normal wolf, come rushing towards us.
We draw our weapons and easily pick off the wolves, no injuries. We continued the next morning, until we find a small opening in the ground, probably from an earthquake that ripped it open. We climb down, in perfect formation.
The moment we touch down, we are greeted by combat, small reptilian creatures. But they seem more scattered, rushed and taken off-guard. Maybe they really aren't a threat, but they hurt the general, death.
We continue down this cavern to a door (in a cavern? Whatever). Behind lay the remains of combat, dead reptilians. Maximus wanders to a scewed-to-a-wall reptialian, in which he rips the small spear through him as he rag dolls to the ground.
We continue through another door, which leads us to a small reptilian cowering under his bed-rest, maybe he saw our last fight.
We decided to approach, he tells us he hinds from not us, but other travelers. Ha, finally some progress. He shows us to his master, in which leads to another reptialian. He tells us we are on war-stained territory, it is them against a goblin race. He also tell us that their "dragon"has gone missing, and if we find it we will get a reward.
We push forward through a rough set of goblins, hiding behind a barrier, in which we all charge at once, killing each three, and I suppose the small one helped a bit. But wait, one was able to flee, so we each took a throw with out spears, but only mine connecting into his pelvis. But he still continues to flee.
We turn the corner were we find another barricade, i grab my spear with the goblin shis-cabobed on the end. I pull him toward me and cut his f***ing head off, and we polevault over the barricade and rid some more goblins.
We then walk very far, until a door is discovered, we enter through the door which leads to a giant tree, dead looking. And there we fnd our lost children, rings and all. But there was one more among them, a cloaked one. We told him we seeked an audience with him, and that we were taking the them with us.
He told us they would not go easily, and they attacked. We had to, we had no choice, fight or die, the Trenta way. But there was something in each of us that couldn't bring back the news that we were the ones that essentially killed her children. But nonetheless, they had been corrupt, we did. We killed them.
We carried their bodies back outside, but not before we found a small dragon. oh, right, the reptilians had lost said dragon. It was small, and white, and caught me off-guard with an icy breath, nearly dropping me, but my companions saved me.
The little one, actually, had gained a small army of reptilians behind our back, all armed with Femurs of dead animals, or worse. I've never seen such a battle between such small creatures, humerous actually. But they got back the dragon, and they gave us a key.
Well, we found a door that needed a key. We used it and stepped inside, to find stairs. As we walked up there was a glowing orb, as we touched it, it screamed at us. An instant passed, and we found ourselves at the bottom of the stairs again, we must of had a day-dream, but as soon as we saw it again, we were down at the bottom of the stairs again.
Heroically, Maximus threw his extra spear, perfect stance, directly hitting the orb, shattering it. We moved along, to find a large coffin, maybe a sarcophagas. We opened it, in which there was a creature. We all dropped our spears into its head, and the little one had shot it in the stomach.
It died before it could speak. And that was it, were the reptiallians hoping we would find him, and it would kill us? No time to think, we have a job to do.
We brought back the bodies to the grieving mother, and we gave her the rings. Mission complete.
