I would like to join.
Sup, I came here cause I'm looking for a clan and it seems I've found a pretty good one. Damukag invited me, said y'all could use some crafters. That by the way is my ambition for this game, to become a master crafter/master enchanter. Plus, I brought cake
Race? Dwarf (Edit: I'm now officially a dwarf.)
Roleplay? Sure
Class or Skills? As I said above I am a crafter and enchanter. I may get some minor fire magic and blade skills.
In Game Name? Not sure at the moment. It depends upon how I'm feeling at the time of creation.
Why you chose MLOA? I got an invite and I'm looking to join a clan that is military based but needs some crafters.
What you can do to further this clan? I can supply weapons and armors and enchant these weapons, armors, and items for you.
What are your goals for Darkfall? To become a master crafter and enchanter.
What timezone do you play in, and when are you most available for play? US Central and I could be found between 4 and 9PM on weekdays and from about 3-12PM on Saturdays and Sundays
What games do you own and play regularly? Guild Wars, and PotCO
Are you willing to buy games that the rest of the clan is playing? If I have money then yes.

Re: I would like to join.
Hey there sportsfan! Good to have you. We could use more crafters, see Beraskus about that. He's the bald guy in the corner hugging his money. Also, in a few moments Daarco will pop up from his hiding/lurking spot and tell you to join the navy. Watch out. But good to have you, and keep posting on the forums.

Re: I would like to join.
Hello Sportsfan. I have yet to talk to Damukag about you, but you seem to check out, and you look like you'd be a great addition to our team. Besides, any recommendation by an admin must be a good one.
If you could please send me a pm, I'll send you an email address. Just send an email to that address with the info you provided above and I'll begin processing.
The admins and I will talk about letting you join, and if they agree then you're in. But don't worry, as you said we're an interesting bunch and if you're as interesting as we are then there's no doubt you're in.
I'm glad to see you take the initiative and ask to join. See on the (restricted) forum boards.
EDIT: P.S. I'm clan leader, btw, just in case

Re: I would like to join.
I'm not the clan leader, but I am a very important part of this clan. I make up the legs.
I'm sure they'll find everything all hunky dory (5 bucks to whoever can tell me the origin of that phrase).
Bienvenido(sp?) a MLoA!

Re: I would like to join.
Didn't hunky dory originate in Japan?

Re: I would like to join.
From William and Mary Morris's Dictionary of Word and Phrase Origins: The story goes that the principal street of Yokohama was Huncho-dori street. (OK, Danny, is that true today?) A sailor on shore leave would feel that everything was OK when he was on the main street.
Another story however (attributed by the Morrises to Charles Earle Funk) traces the origin back to the Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam: taking the word hunk as derived from the Dutch word honk for goal. When you reached the goal, everything was hunky-dory. How the dory got into the expression was not clear.
We do know that Christy's Minstrels of the mid-nineteenth century popularized a bit of corn called "Josiphus Orange Blossom" that contained the lyric "red hot hunky-dory contraband." The song was a hit and hunky-dory came into the language.
That song arose during the Civil War. Since Japan was not opened to foreign ships until Commodore Perry's visit in 1854, it seems somewhat doubtful that the Yokohama theory holds water. More likely, hunky-dory was already a slang term when American sailors first had shore leave to Huncho-dori Street.
