Well they said somewhere that the sun rises every 6 hours so there will be daytime and night time. As for sneaking, that's completely player skill, so I imagine it'd be easier at night. Not sure about climates though the different continents have different climates.

i was hoping it would be more like africa really, so each continent could have deserts, icy mountains, and forests, also DESSERTS  or that depending on where the continent was the warmer or colder the climate would be, another cool effect would be like random storms, fog, a tsunami or two, maybe even a volcanic eruption

as you can see from this here map, the more north you get, the colder it gets.
