posticon eBay !

If you live in the UK/Europe and are looking for Videos, VCD's or even DVD's look no other than http://www.eBay.co.uk ! Just register then type down on the search bar "Mysterious cities of gold". But don't worry if you don't live in the UK, you'll still be able to find some region free or a way to play them for NTSC, etc.

If you've been having any problems getting copies, reply here. emoticon

I live in The United States. I have seen copies around- but they are poor bootlegs. I can only hope that someone will have the foresight (and the rights to) release it on DVD!

The French are still keeping it alive. But the US, Europe, Australia (the English version) forgot about it and its never been on air since about 1995. It's a shame really, it can teach kids alot. It's also annoying how other countries such as France and Germany (I think) have released the series on DVD officialy. The only way to get your hands on a DVD copy would be the ones transfered by other people.

The French have kept a lot of classic shows and films alive- so at least they're good for something (Just Kidding). I guess my only option now would be to move to france, learn the language, and buy all the Mysterious Cities DVDs I can get my hands on.

Actually, do you know if the show would be available in Japan? I'm pretty sure it was drawn by Japanese animators and produced in France. I'll have to look into it the next time I am over there. I don't understand a word of Japanese either, but at least I'd be able to watch their DVDs!

You want English DVDs?
I got mine from someone in the UK. He is reputable and will send them.
You will need to pay through PalPal $30 USD for all 39 episodes on DVD.
Great quality, no ads and there are all the documentries that the TV stations never shown.
He does not make any profit, only to help the fans of MCoG re-live the joy of watching the episodes again.

That's a great offer. $30? That's about £16, I got my set for £25 without documentries.

But when I first found out people were selling the series, I got my dad to buy me the videos. They cost £40! emoticon

Tim Skutt is where I got mine too! The ones you see on Ebay are his work that has been stolen!! He did a remarkable job on them and deserves full credit. If you're looking for the english versions as VCD's, MPG's, DVD's, or even on VHS, contact him directly here: http://www.msu.edu/~skutt/mcog.html

I don't know him personally, nor am I his advertising agency. However, I know how it feels to have my work ripped off by leeches and theives, and it pisses me off thoroughly. So please give him credit for his work, and get them from him!
