'Dead' shot comparisions

A single shot from the four different versions of the show I presently have. (From the start of episode 8).

Sets included Sony 2004 (French), Anime-Virtual 2002 (German), MCoG Weekly and the DivX (7gb torrent) set. The French appears more vibrant to me but is also a lot grainier. Will try and add some other frames tomorrow. Have episodes 8-14 on the German DVD. Hope to get the others in that set at some stage. Partially got it for the English theme tune.

Didn't notice how much better the French looks compared to the others. Kokapetal(sp?) looks green where as in the others he looks blue. The German one looks almost as good.

The German version is begining to win me over to be fair. I have a load of screen shots I will upload shortly from 6 different versions. Tim Skutt sent me along with his 8 disc set (which is what I just need to capture the frames from,) his Canadian (French) and German first (and last) episodes. So I have taken frames from them (not quite identical frames yet but will correct that at some point - will upload it first though) and also my French version. For interest I then have also taken frames from the DivX set. I may also decide to take frames from the MCoG weekly set but not so sure on that as its quality is so bad anyway.

EDIT: The last German grabs are off of my vol2 disc (the only German disc I own) so I am not sure that Tims and mine are the same. I still prefer the German over the Japanese but not sure whether French or German wins overall. The German has a more natural unaltered look to it.
