Re: Favourite Bad Guy? If it wasn't for Gomez and Gaspard the Olmec's wouldn't have found the Cities of Gold. Gaspard is just a bit too much of a dedicated follower to Gomez. I don't see Mendoza or the gang ever trusting them again. There was more similarities with Gomez and Mendoza though.
Re: Favourite Bad Guy? Oh I think it would take a long while for Mendoza to trust them but if they want to get back to Spain they are going to need other people to help with the ship. The three of them could not handle it and they could not go and ask the Gov General for any help.
Re: Favourite Bad Guy? It has to be Gomez for me for a number of reasons;
1) the scene in Puna, with the ants ** MY GOD** its so scary!!!
2) Hes as clever as, if not more so than Mendoza, think the Fort of the Black Eagle.
3)His appearance, Gaspard looks to funny, Menator too much like an olmec grandpa, Marinche's too pretty and too nice to Tetiola, and The Doctor is obviosly in love with Marinche, which makes him come across goofy most of the time.
But Gomez, the grey hair, eyebrows and beard, the sand coloured knee length coat, and the way he speaks. definately an individual looking guy. Theres something about premature greyness thats terribly sinister on him.
4)Hes not all bad, theres being a heartless killing machine, then theres being a human with a bad, and a bit of a good side. Hes definately not a pleasant character, but the scene where Zia tells him Mendoza's dead, and how sad he looks, yeah, hes human alright.
5)Single mindedness.and a threatening presence most of the time (esp when the childeren re-meet with him in the land of the Maya, when he's lit by the moon)
so are we agreed? heehee, Gomez rocks my socks!!
--- He began to dance and his laughter became a bloodthirsty snarling.
Re: Favourite Bad Guy? Very hard to choose. Love Gomez, Marinche, and Gaspar, but I went with the latter. It was a close thing, however. That was something I loved about the series, great bad guys who all had some motivation for what they were doing. It just adds another layer to the show.
Re: Favourite Bad Guy? I like Gaspard because he's funny and gets cross so easily. He always seems to be the victim of a series of comedy misfortunes, such as getting his head trapped in a bucket, being swarmed by rats and getting a flying fish stuck in his mouth.
Re: Favourite Bad Guy? Yeah, the flying fish... I always thought about, how could he pulled it out... It was like when you stuck an umbrella in a hole, open it, then try to get it out. Impossibile!! (Not like I tried it before...)
