It's quite a contrast really, Darth Vader a true villan, then Esteban's dad who saves the world.
One thing in common, obviously is that they both have sons.
Re: The High Priest After watching MCoG over and over, I've noticed something very peculiar. The High Priest wears red where several chakra points are located, including the heart, third eye (forehead), and crown (top of head). Chakras are the energy centers that run along the spine. While the word "chakra" has Hindu (Sanskrit) roots, the energy involved is not partial to any particular religion.
I know that the country wasn't a part of MCoG but I've read in several texts that India and surrounding lands were one of the key refuge areas of Lemurians after the great continent sank. This might seem like just a huge coincidence but I guess it's all how we interpret the series and how far we delve into the ancient history it's based upon. Very interesting none the less
Re: The High Priest That is very interesting. It makes you realise how far there research may have gone for this series. I think that is one of the reasons it is so good because there is also an educational aspect to it but it is not blindingly obvious so does not put people off the show. A bit like the age of empires series of games has taught my brother quite a lot of historical facts. It shows how good a learning medium cartoons and games can be if done in the correct way.
Re: The High Priest This chakra-thing's so interesting. But it doesn't helped him at all.. Well, okay, he survived a murderer knife...
Think about the Priest, he didn't become my fav character. He's just a daredevil, who caused suffering those who loved him. His "girlfriend", his son... not on purpose, though. :P
I know it's not that simple, but once he had family, it's suppose to be the first thing in his life, isn't it?
Ohh, maybe he just save the whole world for penitence? ( Did I used the correct word? ^^ Anyway I just didn't agree all of his actions. :PPP

Join me Esteban and we can rule the Mysterious Cities of Gold as Father and son!
Re: The High Priest The Priest must have known who Esteban was the moment he saw him. I always think it must have taken incredible self-control not to rush forward and embrace his long lost son, not to even give a hint that he knew him...
Re: The High Priest Did Studio Pierrot intend for him to be Japanese? I've always been curious about that.
What would Esteban have learned from him, had he lived?
Nobody has to answer, these are just idle little thoughts, but...it's one thing I like very much about an "open-ended-ending", leaves a lot of room for different ideas
