Re: If there was a film, who would play them? I would be tempted to say it should be CGI based. That way you can try and get the characters as near to the originals as possible and only need to find suitable voice actors. Mendoza's original voice actor would still just about be suitable for him. It would be nice to see the original voice actors for the children back to voice some of the other parts in the show. Though we would need new children to voice the children. I think Esteban would be interesting if he had a spanish accent and perhaps an actual Inca girl to voice Zia. The hard one would be Tao though I think he needs to retain his child like voice of the English series. It is a bit hard to know what his accent should be like. We would need a good lot like weta digital to do the CGI though. I bet they could do a really amazing condor.
Re: If there was a film, who would play them? Wouldn't a film be quicker? You could have CGI in it, for the Condor and what not. Its alot more work to make it all in CGI. Though it does sound like a nice idea.

I also think that Nestor Carbonell (seen recently as the Mayor in The Dark Knight, and also in Lost) would make a good Mendoza, with the right wig. He's tall and handsome and very dark eyed, and looks strong and competent.
Can't think of who I'd want to cast as Sancho...hmmm...

Re: If there was a film, who would play them? I'd have to say Gerard Butler would be the perfect Mendoza. His portrayal of Leonidas in 300 was so riveting, I think he would deserve to be Mendoza.
