Theme Song I'm listening to it right now! I have three versions of it on my computer- and while I don't remember too many episode specifics- this song always takes me back to my childhood.
Just hearing the song alone reminds me what a quality program this was! Do cartoons today even have good theme songs anymore? I doubt it. Back in the 80s attention was paid to every detail of a kids show. Someone obviously had enough faith in children then to realize that kids respond to quality too. No example is better than TMCOG theme. Truly one of the best!
Re: Theme Song God I remember the theme tune like it was yesterday, just downloaded it from Kazaar, too brief, though it'll fit nicely in my TV theme tune collection along with another childhood fav Inspector Gadget, hehe.
Re: Theme Song i heard the theme tune last night for the first time in 16 years, it instantly took me right back, i was allmost crying. i cant wait to get the whole series.
Re: Theme Song Has anyone heard the other versions of the theme song? I thought the French one was quite wierd!
I enjoyed MCOG so much when i was a kid that just hearing the opening theme used to get me excited. Even now when i hear it i can still remember that sense of anticipation.
I thought that the music generally was amazing in this series. It always totally suited the mood of the moment and really added something to each episode.

Re: Theme Song I've been listening alot to the extended version (or full version?) of the english on this forum's websire and i likes alot. It sems wierd with the extra line "Children of the sun, someday soon your gonna find that destiny, holds the secret of the key", but than i would say that as i guess i'm too used to the cut down tv version.
I do love the really long opening though, no words just a really long bit of the music before we hit those infamous drums and the singing!
Re: Theme Song I thought that was the usual version of the intro sequence. Can't really remember it that well from when it was shown on the TV here in the UK but on Tim Skutt's DVD set the English intro which is introduced by Philip Schofield (so certainly from the UK) features the entire intro. Also sounds like it is time to look at Zeen's site again. Wasn't much available last time I checked as it was brand new. Also if anyone would like me to rip the English intro from the German DVD I would be happy to do so. Has a voice over in German at the start but they use the English theme tune.
Re: Theme Song Maybe it was the usual version? t may have just been cut down to save on file size space. 99% of my episodes cut off at the end before the "next time" bit on the end too.
