The music is so damn amazing. I absolutly love the music in this cartoon. It has great suspence, action, sad, fun, etc, etc music. And its one of the main reasons I love this cartoon. Possibily the best music in any cartoon I've seen.
Mon Pere, My father? (I did a bit of French). That's such a sad song. And all of these pieces bring back memories. It's what I like about music, especially from something deep in your past. It just brings it all back.

Re: The music is so damn amazing. I am trying to track down the original CDs of the music. I must remember to stick to the French version because clips from the Japanese show seem to have entirely different stuff. Is this actually the case? I plan on having one of the tunes from the series as my mobile ringtone, possibly Off to Adventureor one of the bits of menu music from my French DVD set.
Re: The music is so damn amazing. In all the DivX or VCD sets of MCoG there are 36 MP3s of the Western music floating around, and I've got a copy of them.
Some of them are curious, though, because you can also hear what I would call sound effects. For example, in the show, Tao is first seen opening the curtain door to his treehouse complete with rustle sound and his footsteps that follow, and you also hear this on the MP3 as well.
… I dare anyone to try listening to the Olmecs theme music in the dark, alone. That tune has given me nightmares and my boyfriend yells at me to turn it off whenever I play it unexpectly, it scares him. Mwhaha.
Re: The music is so damn amazing. As i watch these episodes again it's not just the great theme tune (Which makes me swell with happiness everytime i hear it) that caught my attention, i too have begun to notice the background music.
One of my favourites it in episode one when Roderigues dies and Esteban rans out up to the tower, love the music there. And later in the early seies when Tao appears in costume for the first time and at night.
Re: The music is so damn amazing. i was blown away when i re watched the series last year, im studying music technology and concidering the era it was made in the synths are spectacular! listening back to the spaniards theme is so evocative, military and threatening with an subtle spanish edge, love it!
