MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD FINALLY SEES AN ENGLISH DVD RELEASE!
I was just emailed by the company involved who has finally obtained the long missing rights, and when asked for further information on the release they kindly replied with this:
" We are set to release the unedited full 39 episodes initially in the UK in Feb 2008. The plan at the moment is to do 3 double dvds with eps 1-13,14-26,27-39. They will be in a normal DVD case with a card outer wrap. There will be a booklet with episode details and possibly a poster. We are doing a special edition with a retailer where all these 3 sets come in a bigger box with some kind of exclusive gift yet to be decided. This will then be released soon after in the USA and Australia. We are just about to start a very expensive picture and sound restoration in London. We are going to interview Jean Chalopin so we are asking fans if they have any questions I can put to him. We are also trying to source more images to use for the packaging as it seems not a lot has survived. I have episode synopses and about 40 images so far so any help would be much appreciated. There are a lot of fans out there wanting to help which is great news. We really want to make this an amazing set for the fans so if you have any great ideas then please let me know

Re: Official ENGLISH RELEASE This is awesome news!!!!! Everyone start sending in those suggestions for extras. Ask those questions we have been wondering for a long time! ^_^
Re: Official ENGLISH RELEASE I have lots of suggestions for extras and stuff!
I would love to see a fluffy teddy version of Kokapetl, and figurines of the main characters in the shops (should be huggable!) I love the figurines of Tao, Zia and Esteban that are already in existence, so perhaps we could have those on general sale and/or some made from a cheaper material too!
The dvd should include some interviews with the voice actors, and there should definitely be a CD released of all the music!
Would also be great to see other merchandise, like picture books and stationary, out in shops, but this may be pushing my luck!!!
