Re: Japanese VS French\English Version Yes, you are correct. I asked Howard Rhyspan that same question. He directed the dubbing from French to English, and also helped with the French to English translations, and he said that some words were changed for asthetics, or because they had different meanings.
Kukapetal was also called "Gwenig" in the Japanese version.

That explains the different name of Pichu, I read somewhere some time ago that refered to the parrot as Kokapetl and I thought that it was wrong, but I couldn't remember the right name.

Re: Japanese VS French\English Version Having heard all three Tao voices now, I think the English is still the best, the Japanese has SOME deepness to it, but the French is the worst of them all.
BTW, what's with the freaky music in the Japanese version? Didn't they use any of the Western music?
Re: Japanese VS FrenchEnglish Version I will have access to 2 episodes (first and last) from the English, French, German and Japanese versions soon so can put up a few comparisions if anybody would like me to. I suppose it is another bit that would be interesting to try and do on my website. I could just use the version comparision part as I plan on giving a preview of the quality of the audio on each version in anycase.
