Another Major Inconsistancy I thought about this a long time ago, and forgot about it..... I was bored and restarted the series and it popped into my head again.
Think about ep4 when the Esperonza is sinking. Mendoza goes down to the hold to rescue Esteban and Zia from the jail. Gaspar is attempting to do the same, and confronts Mendoza, and is washed away when the side of the vessel caves and fills the hold. This left no time for him to escape if he wasn't seriously injured from the impact of the water and debris. The lifeboats clearly left without Gaspar aboard. He didn't get out the way he came in, Sancho and Pedro were there waiting for Mendoza, and would have known Gaspar was still alive. How did Gaspar and Gomez reunite aboard the other gallion when they attacked the Solaris?

Re: Another Major Inconsistancy Hhmm, from my memory. I think Gaspard(or Gaspar, lol) got on one of the last lifeboats? Even though we didn't see it, I mean he did have more time to get out than Mendoza and the other did, and they made it out. Sancho and Pedro would have known, Gaspard may have past them you never know, they never actually said he was left behind did they? Or.. Gaspard managed to get on the boat Gomez was on, I can't remember if he was on when they left and the captain goes "this is a tradegy, we've lost everything!".
Re: Another Major Inconsistancy Nope, Gaspar was not in the last lifeboat to leave with Gomez where Perez says "Ohh what a tradegy, we've lost everything". It's clear that he's not there.
Another MCoG Mystery....

Re: Another Major Inconsistancy For the answer, refer to the time when Gaspard and Gomez tried to blow up a barricade, only to fall into the river with a rock falling straight on them. They're flicking indestructible!
Also, notice that the lifeboat solution didn't seem to work too well anyway (in the middle of a storm, y'know), given the debris everyone was floating out on. You might as well ask how Commander Gomez got away in one piece.

Haha, yeah thats true. If they can survive all thats come before them, I'm sure they didnt die when the cities of gold was destroyed. As it was meant to look like anyway.
Re: Another Major Inconsistancy When the COG was destroyed, they just jumped in the lake... they could have swam like hell and escaped... HEHEHE We'll know when the sequel comes out... I bet they lived.... They're indestructable!

Re: Another Major Inconsistancy I wouldn't doubt it if they lived, given their incredible luck so far... but... didn't the lake get swallowed up along with the city? o_o
NOOO! And I was going to cosplay as Gomez, too! ^^;
Re: Another Major Inconsistancy naw, they didnt die :P, im sure it was open to speculation just like when the rock fell on them. Im sure in the back of everyones mind they thought they were alive from what they've been through already
Re: Another Major Inconsistancy What about the wooden ladder that Gaspard broke while climbing down into the ship's hold?
How did they manage to get out without that ladder? Fly away!!!
Re: Another Major Inconsistancy They didn't need the ladder.... By the time they got back to the hatch, the water level was up to the next deck, so they were able to just climb out.
That still doesn't explain how Gaspar escaped and reunited Gomez.... He couldnt have come out the way he came in, he'd have been seen by Sancho and Pedro. HMM
