Innocence that inevitably dies; ALWAYS

Hey,
it's been a long time...

I remember kissing my old girlfriend, a long time ago.
It was electric and I loved her sooooo much, just for that memory
My mum moved interstate and I have not seen her since.

In the late 80s, I was 6 when I saw her for the last time and unknowing what my mums' plans where. I was only a kid, even if I knew she was moving, not much I could've done.

That was the last time that I had a girlfriend, my mum sort of killed my sexlife then and there.
Anyway,
Everyone does experience some glorious experience during their childhood; then oneday, you realise how much life sucks and life changes.
Life lags on and on.... repeats itself, due to individual lifestyle. Go to job, work, get home and repeat that pattern 1000 times.
How many kids' innocence would've gone from those 9-11 attacks in NY? The "NEWS" is biased on reporting crap, ****ty experiences that people have, death, unemployment, tax hikes, whatever.
Everyone reaches one point in their lives and bang,
suddenly you feel average. "I would love to be 6 again"
Even your own children will lose their innocence, that's inevitalbe.
I am about to return to that small town near Victor Harbour to try and find her again, 20 years later seems unlikely....

I know how you feel, life is so repetitive when you don't have love in your life emoticon

i can most definately relate to your ideas, thoughts, and emotions as any real human being would. i to would also like to go back to my childhood growing up in the 80s. as messed up as it still was back then, at least there were moments of escape and innocence that shielded us from reality for at least a moment or 2 more longer...

now, when it seems like things couldn't get any worse, they always do. i guess there are ways to get though tough times but isn't it so easy to just give up?

thanks for the post. times are crazy...if something as simple as an internet thread can help us all relate to one another and get us to remember that we are all going through the same struggles just to ease the pain for a second or two, then maybe we will once again realize that life may still hold great things for us.

Awww I agree with you - I'm reminiscing at the moment about a man I used to know in my teens at church, who I really had a big crush on... but he was married! Miss him so much too... times like that were fun back then... it is so nice to share feelings and relate to each other's pain, and we can see how things like cartoons can help ease the pain that reality often brings!! emoticon
