I would safely say... This forum is the best(largest number of posts) Mysterious Cities of Gold forum out there on the Internet today. And I'm chuffed at that!
… The yahoo group gets more posts (though it isn't technically a forum) but this is the no. 1 place to have discussions about the show. After all a lot of the Yahoo group stuff is from a certain flame war. Still find it funny that you can have a flame war over MCoG though. I wonder if Tim has my medium steak done yet. Probably shouldn't have posted that comment but couldn't help it. This is certainly a great forum with very good ontopic discussions. We also can rival your other board for posting at times can't we Zeen with a lot less members.
… It is MCoG weekly where my post count is absurd. Joined both this forum and that one at roughly the same time and I now have 316 posts on there. You can work out how much I have talked about MCoG from that. Don't know my post count at the yahoo group though. I only know this forum and MCoG weekly (as proper forums) that get any posts at all (on the topic of MCoG of course). Most of those posts on MCoG weekly where me and Gold talking to each other. We've joked a few times that MCoG weekly seems to be our own private forum.
… The site is certainly growing. I think that is the first time I have seen four registered members on at once. Me, Gold, Sailor Heva and Foebane where all here at once. This forum is certainly on the rise. With a bit of luck you never know we might even topple the Yahoo group but here it would be with sensible reasoned conversations.
EDIT: Make that 5 Chayna just turned up. Weren't all on for that long but still that means we have also now for certain had 5 proper members. Last time we got to that it included guests. That was approx 23:13pm (UK time) on the 29th Nov 2005 incase you are wondering.
Re: I would safely say... I definitely enjoy the conversations more. Someone made the comment on the yahoo board some time ago that we had discussed all possible topics about MCoG and that was why the list was so quiet. I couldn't disagree more. Obviously we have found a lot to talk about! And the friendlier attitude of this forum is a big plus. The flame wars get old very quickly!
… Damn, if I had been on then we would have beaten the "most ever users online", as I think that was mainly Guests like you said.
This has happened before, at a certain time we had quite a few topics going on and then it got quiet as the regular members didn't come on as much. David seems to be keeping the forum going though and then others got in, so well done.
I'd rather have better conversations with less posts than more posts with rubbish. :P
It's amazing how much you can talk about from one cartoon, I could hardly think of any others that would be worth talking about. (And be interesting at the same time)
… It is a pity you weren't on. On a side note why are you invisible? I think you are the only one on this board who has that setting so it is rather easy to know who it is. And thanks for the compliment. Just glad I found this place and yes I have too much free time. :
… Well I'm a moderator of Runboard and sometimes I visit other boards, people seem to be excited and send me pm's, if I'm invisible no one knows its me. But I don't do that often so I think I'll change it back, I was gonna do it earlier.
I have alot of time these days too. I'm addicted to the Internet.
… I have just applied for a christmas job and one of my hobbies I put as discussing Old TV shows (though really it shouldn't have had the s) and games on forums. Also put that I like visiting the cinema weekly and playing computer games.
