I guess I'll introduce myself incase people here don't know me. emoticon I'm David Matthew Baker, I'm 22 years old and live and was born in the North East of England. I studied Physics and Earth Sciences (mainly Geophysics) at The University of Durham. My hobbies are gaming, MCoG and reading. I also enjoy drawing from time to time. I'm a fairly new member of the community (well I am really time wise :P) but have a good knowledge of Mysterious Cities of Gold. I look forward to talking (some more) to you all. Just realised I never actually introduced myself here. Better late than never hay. It's only my 266th post emoticon and I am already at Child of the Sun level. EDIT: This is only about 2 months late. Thats means I have been averaging 4 1/2 posts a day on here. emoticon /EDIT

Now onto the more serious bit and why I actually came here: Welcome to the forum Flamecondor. I hope you stay and like it here and partake in the conversations.

I wouldn't say you were a nerd from those interests, maybe a bit of a geek. emoticon But geeks are the nicest people you'll ever meet!

Sounds like we have the same interests David, except for reading, change that to Internet. :P

Lol emoticon yeah sorry I think I might have put that level too soon, I didn't think someone would post that much so I made them less evened out.

Enjoy posting flamecondor!

(and with that post, I reach 300. Can't believe I'm on 6000+ with my other board...)

Oh the internet is an interest too. The reading tends to be fantasy books like The Lord of the Rings (fav all time book), The Wheel of Time series, Shanara books, The Sword of Truth series - presently reading the Pillars of Creation) and The Rift War series. Also could say going to the cinema is a hobby. Not really into modern TV shows.

Everyone I know who likes to read loves the Lord of the Rings.

I haven't been to the cinema in awhile, theres not much on these days. I like some modern shows and comedy programmes, like Little Britain. The stuff on TV nowadays is boring most of the time though.

With the cinema I have a UGC (I suppose I should now say cineworld) unlimited cinema card that allows me to see as many films as I want a month for £10.99. You have to have it for a minimum of 12 months but there are normally enough good films to make it worthwhile. The last couple of weeks and the next few have been a good period. Looking forward to Narnia although will compare it to the old BBC TV version which I liked. Even if the special effects where naff. Polystyrene blocks anyone!!!
