Re: Quests?
You can use something called Conditional Branch in the event window, then choose Item and choose the necklace as item.
Then it should be stated like:
If you have the necklace, then... and you add what will happen.
Or else, what happens if you don't have the necklace, you could add maybe one message there from the girl saying something and then leave the rest blank.
But remember to use a switch after you have given the necklace to the girl, also remove item so you really give it to the girl ^^

Re: Quests?
uhh well, when you make an event, there is a HUGE white box. if you double click it, you would get a bunch of options in which one of them is the "Conditional Branch". It is really fun to use, just i rarely get tiem to work on my games anyway.

Re: Quests?
make a necklace or something. then make a switch in it' make sure it's the last thing to do in the necklace event. name the switch what ever you want. then go to the quest giver. and make a conditional branch. It should look like this
conditional branch:Switch [switch]==on
?: You got my necklace.Thanks!
You: Yeah..sure
else
? id you get my necklace?
branch end
there. I hope that helped
