Re: AMSTERDAM 2009 (17/18 OCTOBER)
Just in case those of you who have entered the 'half' are tempted to change to the 'full' (no pressure though!)-I checked the website today and it says that it is possible to change to the full and pay the difference in the entry fee. I have emailed them to ask how you go about it.

Re: AMSTERDAM 2009 (17/18 OCTOBER)
I've managed to change my entry to the full MARATHON. That will be 2 marathons in the space of 3 weeks. Better get in some serious training.

Re: AMSTERDAM 2009 (17/18 OCTOBER)
I haven't read the whole thread but have you guys found a good deal?
I did the Amsterdam marathon a few years back with the boys and it was pretty cheap. We booked our tickets in advance with Easyjet and then we stayed in a Youth Hostel cheap but very quiet, clean and friendly. If you want to know the address let me know and I can find it out for you

Re: AMSTERDAM 2009 (17/18 OCTOBER)
Thanks Sophie,
The majority of us got a good deal through Expedia thanks to El's hard work, for those still looking its not a bad idea to look at, besides the more money saved means more beer money

AMSTERDAM MARATHON - CHINESE MEAL LAST NIGHT
Our plan is to book a table at the Sea Palace floating chinese restaurant (in the old harbour area) for our last night in Amsterdam (Monday).
If you'd like to join us (and assuming that you're actually in Amsterdam at that time, obviously) let me know either by reply to this thread or by contacting me directly after one of the Sunday morning or Wednesday evening runs.
In about 3 weeks time, once I'm sure I've got the names of everyone interested I'll book it up.
And remember, it's not just any old chinese restaurant, this is a floating one!
