GRIZZLY TRAINING RUNS ON THE QUANTOCKS
A few of my pals in TDBC, who are mostly all RFRC members, are planning on some Grizzly training runs.
They will be starting from Lydeard Hill car park at 8.30am although I guess we could car share from Belvedere Road at 8am.
The proposed dates are:-
Sundays 25 Jan, 8 Feb, 15 Feb, 22 Feb and 1 March.
To quote Simon Lewis, who's organising it - 'Mike, feel free to invite other RFRC members along too. If we get a big group we may need to split into a faster and slower group, but hopefully that will be the exception. Re structure, we start off around 11 miles and build up to 15/16 miles. All of the runs are hellishly hilly. Runs are a minimum of 2 hours and go up to around 3 hours'.

Well, I've entered the Grizzly but don't suppose for a minute I'll be running it - I'm sure to have buggared up some part of my leg by then!
I would like to join in on these (if I can get up in time). However, I am going to hold you up as I'm nothing like as fast as the rest of you. Maybe I'll try the first one and see just how much I p**s you all off. :-)

Great to have some extra people onboard. It should be good fun. I'll also invite a couple of the girls from work who are entered for the Grizzly.
Don't forget that we're all RFRC people, Val, and all respect the Club motto, so your chances of p**sing us off are fairly remote (that's one excuse out of the window  ) Some of us sadists also actually enjoy looping!

Count me in! Hey Val I think you'll be looping too cos I'm ultra slow at the moment with new orthotics, new off road shoes, and a newly untwisted pelvis to get used to! I think I'm actually going to make it back to the club this week cos I can now run-ish again - hooray!!

Good to hear that you're on the way back Lynn. The Quantocks runs could be more fun than I anticipated, seeing who's looping who!
