Beginners Group

Hi to you all

I came along to some of your wednesday runs joining the beginners group when you were starting out training for the 10K, life conspired against me and i haven't managed to make lots of your recent runs, but now that the 10k is over, is there still a beginners group.

I have been accepted for the London Marathon and to say that i am paniced would be a massive understatement (god knows why i applied in the first place !), but i am still very much a run/walker and so distances at this point i would struggle with.

Thanks
Cathy (ESCAPE)

Re: Beginners Group

Hi

Well there is currently a new group 6 which does about 3-4 miles on a Wednesday so you could join that group. Soon (not sure when) a new half marahton training group will start as well.
Congratulations on getting into London!

Re: Beginners Group

Beginners training in preperation for the Taunton Half Marathon training takes place from 18th November to the 13th January which starts from a 1 mile run/walk upto a 3 mile run, from that the half marathon training will commence on the 20th January to the Taunton Half Marathon 2010 on the 11th April, as stated previously you would be welcome to join in with group 6 and im sure they will do their upmost to cater for your needs.
