RESULTS 2009
Here's the new link for the new year.
As previously, it would help Sally if you can not only post your results (with pb's marked) as early on Monday as possible but also include a brief write-up - distance (if not obvious!), terrain, weather, views, enjoyment factor etc.

Re: RESULTS 2009
Results from the 'Oh my Obelisk' race at Dawlish on Sunday:
2nd Richard Palmer 1.14.10
90th Scott Weetch 1.36.43
92nd Simon Lewis 1.36.43
There were 229 finishers. The race consists of an 11 mile route with a mixture of road, rough tracks and forest trails. The first 5 miles is uphill to an obelisk on Haldon (the last part of which is very tough/steep/muddy) then its a rapid descent all the way back to Dawlish. The views are spectacular. It wasn't too muddy this time although it was pretty windy at times. I couldn't believe I got 2nd overall and the trophy is a massive. Needless to say it is taking pride of place in the lounge!!

Re: RESULTS 2009
Good work Rich - we all enjoyed our day out too!! Although there are no trophies for being 'most puffed'.

Re: RESULTS 2009
Results from First Chance 10k in Exeter today:
Scott Weetch 44.49
Darren Jennings 45.09
Richard Carman 45.54
Graham Strang 48.35
Peter Hall 48.51
Helen Phillips 50.11 (pb)
Lisa Farthing 50.11
Mike Nicholls 1.09.53 (sorry Mike!)
Claire Salter 1.09.53(pb)
(Sorry if I missed out anyone elses pb times)
There were 486 finishers. Race consisted of a flat 10k along Exeter's canal and river paths. All drove down in torrential rain but fortunately by time race began the sun decided to shine and we had good weather throughout. As warned by race organisers, wind was at times a bit of a nuisance but could have been far worse! Nice race to run, especially as the loop style of the course meant you could see and cheer on fellow RFRC runners!
For my part, thanks to Malcolm B, Alex, El and Nick who came along to cheer us on! And especially to Mike who provided me with a much needed push on several occasions!

Re: RESULTS 2009
Guess that's the vageries of chip timing - Claire definitely out-sprinted me across the finish line, as those there will tell you.
Claire, lets convert this 'I can't do this' to 'I will do this'. You did brilliantly today, despite the odd literal push. A big pb run also by Helen.
Thanks to all RFRC people, both runners and spectators, for your support.

Re: RESULTS 2009
3 of us ran under the club banner RRFC on sunday in the Dalwood 3 hills challenge.
A beautiful day, great conditions and an excellent route, over 10miles of mixed terrain.(mainly mud)
Simon Gould came a disapointing 48th with a time of 1'32.23 after nearly pulling out at just over the mile mark.
Martin Kemp came 60th 1'34.38 running with a 'delhi belly'.
Alistair Collins came 148th 2'11.46.

Re: RESULTS 2009
Only 1 person (me!! - John Ward) ran the Babcary 7.5 Mile race on Sunday 22nd Feb, the second race in the Somerset Series.
I was placed 57 out of 203 runners with a time of 0:56:46. Note there were around 100 extra runners in this years event.
