Longest sentence in a Charteris Saint book

Yup, as the title suggests, this is what I am looking for.

We all know he could spin a sentence for roughly the length of a page, but to this end I always found them to be emminently readable and, most importantly, understandable.

I am trying to find this example to put alongside a sentence by Proust, whose reputation for long sentences is also to the fore but, to my mind, are bloody incomprehensible.

So, Saint fans, does anyone have any examples that come immediately to mind as I don't want to have to read the entire series again to find this one elusive point prover? Title, chapter and a rough 'this far in' will suffice.

For which, of course, very many thanks.
