The Saint and Mr. Teal
The latest series of New Tricks got off to a good start tonight, with an episode entitled ‘Casualty.’
The premise of three retired detectives and a Superintendent re-examining unsolved crimes works well. Tonight’s case centred on a murder in a hospital ward, one of the prime suspects being Dr. Duncan Freeman, ably played by Simon Dutton.
The main series cast includes Alun Armstrong; Inspector Teal in the Kilmer movie.
