This is great news and it's long overdue. A shame of about no inclusion of the Andrew Clarke movie. Does anybody know about the extras?

No extras. This is a plain vanilla release.

Budget release, this one then.

I hope Network go forward with their own release in the future, including the Andrew Clarke movie, an interview or commentary with Clarke and Dutton, and another enjoyable documentary (The Saint in the 80's) from that fellow who sometimes goes by the name of Ian ****erson.

Yes, wishful thinking, I know...

They have started the trip to my dvd-player from Australia today.

They'll be in time for when my vacation begins. emoticon

The set is very basic, without any additional features, scene selection or extras, and the prints have not been re-mastered. Having only had chance to quickly skip through them, I found the picture quality on a couple of the episodes to be quite grainy, with some shadow and colour balance problems, as well as occasional picture flicker/break-up.

Whatever the print quality issues, it’s great to see them commercially available at last!

The set is indeed very basic, some of the stories suffer of being a lesser copy than expected.
Amazing how fresh the previous released Saint stuff by Umrella looked and then this drop in quality.
They are actually playable on R2 dvdplayers, my older player (Pioneer) is quite fussy what it plays and it can easily handle these dvd's.

The quality of image and sound is less than I expected. On the positive side I finaly did get to see them for the second time an two I could not remember having seen ever.

For the missus this was a whole new Saint and she found them enjoyable.
