I've just read my first Saint story....
...and i'm hooked!
I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I must have known that the TV series must have been based on books, but i guess I never really made the connection, until recently, having watched an old Roger Moor episode, i went on the internet and googled The Saint. Since then i've been buying old books on ebay and reading up. I've already convinced myself to build up a book collection and can see myself wanting different editions. Did you know that the US and UK versions of the Happy Highwayman's stories were altered and are set in both the US and England? Of course you did, you've proabably all been reading them for years. I've got a lot of catching up to do. Can't wait!!!!

Re: I've just read my first Saint story....
It’s nice to have another convert in the fold.
I can just about remember finishing reading my first Saint book and looking forward to picking-up the next instalment – having spent many happy weekend afternoons rummaging through the stock of many, many second-hand bookshops looking for an ever decreasing number of Saint titles.
The internet has made looking for second-hand books so much easier, even if it can’t quite match the thrill of the chase.
The feeling of buying a book that contains a new Saint story is hard to beat, so let’s hope that once the new TV Saint adventures get underway publishers will be lining up a series of new books to tie-in with it.

Re: I've just read my first Saint story....
In some ways I envy you, for I vividly remember the sheer joy of reading the stories for the first time, and the complete and utter joy of discovering a Saint book that I hadn't yet read.
Sadly now that I've read them all--including the forty that have never seen light of day in English--all I can do is try and write new stories...
