In case anyone missed it in the Radio forum, here is the alert:
Re: The Saint on BBC7
Thursday 19th October at 6:00pm on BBC7 - "The Radio Detectives" is part of a doocumentary series covering famous sleuths on the airwaves, and this time it will cover all the audio incarnations of Simon Templar. Be there and be halo-shaped!

Re: Heads up: Saint Radio documentary on tomorrow
Weirdly, according to the Radio Times, the Saint episode seems to have been dropped - but this contradicts the announcer.
Last week was Father Brown (still on Listen Again).
According to the online Radio Times, tonight is Gideon Fell.
And next week Inspector West.
Boo! I may well email the BBC and ask what happened to the touted Saint one (unless they got their announcment wrong last week - it's still on Listen Again where the announcer states that the next one is "The Robin Hood of Crime, Simon Templar, aka the Saint"). I suspect they are listing a previous series of the show in the RT.

Re: Heads up: Saint Radio documentary on tomorrow
The Radio Detectives [Series One (May - June 1998)]
Programmes about popular radio detectives.
. . .
1. Send For Paul Temple
In an affectionate look at Paul and Steve Temple, detective aficionado Professor
Jeffrey Richards revisits the Temples' world of car bombs, poisoned ****tails,
gentlemen and rogues, where the villain is always caught.
2.The Voice Of Sherlock Holmes
Prof Jeffrey Richards, armed with pipe, hansom cab and violin, investigates the
various incarnations of Holmes and Watson.
3. Sexton Blake, The Other Baker Street Detective
Sexton Blake was an instant hit when he was born and made resident of Baker Street
in the very month Sherlock Holmes was `killed off'. His career, like that of his
faithful assistant, Tinker, spans 100 years.
4. Enter The Saint
Professor Jeffrey Richards tracks down the history and various portrayals of the
Robin Hood of crime, Simon Templar, aka The Saint.
5. The Shadow Knows
Jeffrey Richards unravels the history of Walter Gibson's legendary force against
evil, The Shadow. Featuring the classic Orson Welles portrayal and an interview
with Simon Callow.
Is this the show you are referring to. I enjoyed the 1/2 hours of the Saint & The Shadow.
