Wheres the Gossip!?
Is there Any Gossip or News on the proposed New Saint Series?? I haven't read anything about it in ages! its about time we had something juicy to talk about.....and if theres no real news cant somebody at least make something up!

Ah Stickman,
Nice to Get a few thoughts on the go. Interesting David Jason Thought..and i think he could probably pull it off, but id still probably be thinking of del boy half the time!!
There has to be some people screen testing for the proposed new series...wheres our spies with there ear to the floor on who these are. I think for the lead role it would be good to unearth an unknown rough diamond so he could really make the Role his own without any previous baggage.
Has anyone heard anything about time scales ?...is it for 2008...2009? and has the green light been 100% definately given or is backing for the project still being secured?

David Jason lacks Teal's Tummy, though speaking from personal experience such things are easily obtained. But I think Jason's easily identifiable with too many other characters, Detective Inspector Frost for example.
I always thought Richard Griffiths (he of the BBC show 'Pie in the Sky') would make an excellent Teal, but I've not seen much of him over the last few years so don't know whether time has taken its toll on him.
When the greenlight is given you'll hear more about the show but for now the producers have a script and are in discussions with potential networks. Rumor has it a director may be about to leap on board so things may start moving soon...

Richard Griffiths is probably well known at the moment as Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter series of films.
He's now 60, which is approx 15 years older than Ivor dean was when he played the part.

It's great news that dear old Claud Teal has been replaced by Fernack in the pilot, it makes so much more sense.
