This is your chance to tell us what you think of ‘The Saint Online.’
The purpose of this message board is to allow all fans of Simon Templar and his creator Leslie Charteris to interact and chat about their shared interest, and to that end we hope we have been successful. In order to improve this forum and hopefully attract a larger audience we would appreciate your views.
Regards,
C.E.

Re: Feedback
I really enjoy the forum. I like the newest topics where we can talk about whatever we want hoping this could help to know us each other better.
The forum sounds nevertheless a bit too quiet. Is it possible to make some more ad ? I know Jimmy did on his website. Is it for example possible for Jaz to make a link from his itc-classics.com website ? I made a link from the links section of Roger Moore's forum and I'll ask my good friend Bartosz who is running "Roger Moore - A Polish Fansite" to do the same. I'll also ask Diane, from davidhedison.net to place a link.
Maybe could we have a topic for the fan fictions or fan arts all about The Saint ? And, why not, in the future, organizing a meeting with the people of the forum to visit some great places featured in The Saint ?
Also maybe other members could join the trivias ?
I'll think about and post more suggestions

Re: Feedback
Hi Lady Templar
I’m pleased you like the latest forum additions; I’m hoping they will help attract more interest and of course many new members. Any assistance other web sites can offer, with regard to creating awareness of our board, would be greatly appreciated.
Fan fiction was mentioned quite recently on the EPISTLE, although it is a good idea in principle and something that has been done successfully on other forums, it's something which we don’t really want to get involved in at the moment, given the advanced stages of Simon Templar’s, hopefully triumphant, return to television.
There are a multitude of reasons why, the most prevalent, given the large amount of money being invested, including obtaining the right to create new original stories, is that any errant plotline created by a fan might have an adverse effect on the character.
As for meeting up & location visits, it would be nice, but as you say that is something for the future - I think we have to gain a few more members and add to our Saintly contacts first.
C.E.

Re: Feedback
I think the forum is great, but then I used to think of that of the Rog official forum till it turned out to be a pigsty of stupid postings totally unrelated to the forum.
I hope this forum stays the way it is and that we can have fun but keep it sensible and not stupid.

Re: Feedback
Hi John,
With a little help from our members I'm sure it's possible to keep the board fun and sensible, we just need to get some more people interested.

Re: Feedback
I have to agree with john on this because a lot of the forums out there tend to forget that their forum is about a chosen subject and they tend to wander off to fairy land, with all these add on subjects about this and that, when all they really have to do is leave a place on the forums for say "sad and silly things" and let whoever wants to have a little write up about nothing in there,so that way it doesn't get in the way of the main forum and its main subject,on this forum you have the right mixture and blend plus the sense to not let that happen,I always say look at other websites and forums and try to pick out the best bits that appeal to you,and take it from there. Its also one of the many reasons I promote this forum because it stays on the line of the saint and does not wander off.You can have fun on all forums but always remember what you started the forum out for in the first place.anyway keep up the great work you are doing on this forum and no doubt speak again soon.

Re: Feedback
One thought occurs to me: is there any way to make the most recently updated threads rise to the top? It seems rather confusing working out which topics have been most recently updated.

Hi Alan,
I can't change anything in the settings, but I'll ask the people at runboard and get back to you.
