Your Favourite Three Black & White Episodes?
I wondered, given that the continuing worldwide proliferation of the Saint on DVD has allowed many fans to fulfil their long held ambitions of owning all the episodes from all the series, which episodes and which supporting actors and actresses you would choose as your top three from each period of the Saint’s television career?
So after much cogitation my favourite three episodes are:
1. The Saint Plays with Fire
2. Sibao
3. The Golden Journey
…and as for the supporting cast...
1. Justine Lord (Lady Valerie) in The Saint Plays with Fire
2. Erica Rogers (Belinda Deane) in The Golden Journey
3. Ivor Dean (Inspector Teal)
The interplay between Roger and all his leading ladies is always a pleasure to watch, but Justine Lord as the outwardly butterfly minded Lady Valerie, is a cut above the rest. While Simon’s taming of Belinda Deane is just pure joy and Ivor Dean’s portrayal of Teal… well… nobody does it better!

Re: Your Favourite Three?
In terms of supporting cast I think I'd have to include Ronnie Barker for his appearance in "The Better Mousetrap".
Don't think I could limit the episodes to three. Even without reference to the discs or any other material, The Saint Plays With Fire, The Fiction Makers,The Golden Journey, The Talented Husband, Vendetta for the Saint...does not a trio make!

Re: Your Favourite Three?
I liked the " Talented Husband " episode because it introduced us to " The Saint " and also the the Volvo P1800 which is now called the Saintmobile which I have longed to own since childhood and now I do and it's a great car.

Re: Your Favourite Three Black & White Episodes?
As it's been said previously... difficult to pick just three.
But I do think the following are quite fantastic:
1) LUELLA
One of the more light-hearted episodes of the series. Hedison is a great co-star. Plus the lovely Sue and Suzanne Lloyds!
2) THE TALENTED HUSBAND
For its' introduction to Roger Moore's definitive Templar. And the stunning Shirley Eaton.
3) THE MIRACLE TEA PARTY
Roger, you should have directed more!
And favourite co-stars? Hmm. Shirley Eaton, Valerie Leon and Ivor Dean.
For now.

Re: Your Favourite Three Black & White Episodes?
But of course, Valerie was in To Kill A Saint which is a colour episode. Oops! I shall have to go with Julie Christie or Catherine Woodville instead.
Or perhaps Justine Lord. Or - No, no, no, NO! Gosh, I could be here all evening.
