The Saint DVDs
You may have noticed, in the UK, that very shortly (April 2009) there will be a magazine subscription every two weeks of The Saint magazine that will include a DVD of 2 episodes and a magazine specific to each of those episodes. First magazine is £1.99 I believe, all later ones are £7.99. Subscription includes special gifts including a DVD Saint presentation box, posters etc.
I've e-mailed the publishers and it appears that there are a total of 59 magazines in all, leading to an overall cost for the complete series and 59 accompanying magazines of the order of £500 or so.

I am seriously considering taking up the offer since I don't as yet possess any Saint dvds (but watch plenty of re-runs on Cable) and I would imagine that the magazines will be pretty interesting.

Do you realise that'll come out at over £460 for the entire series?
You can currently get the B&W and color episodes--plus a whole load of extras--for around £100 off Amazon. And if you wait for my book on the Saint's TV career then you'll probably be saving your self a whole load of money.

Yes, I bought the first one, to look at the magazine. It's OK, nothing startling. Don't think I'll be getting any more. The mag certainly isn't cost-effective - or entertaining enough - to warrant buying the whole lot.
Hoppy: when is the book coming out? Am champing at the bit here...
