The Saint in comic strip magazines across Europe
The Saint appeared in the Dutch comic magazine called "Tv 2000" in 1968 and 1969. In this weekly comic strip magazine there were 4 to 6 paged colour strips printed. In 3 to 4 weeks relatively simple stories were told in which Roger Moore as Simon Templar was the hero. These seem to be original stories not transaltion of the Tv Tornado comic strip stories.
In Sweden The saint appeared in his own special long running magazine called "Helgonet". The details of the creation of this comic strip magazine is covered in more detail in the Burl Barer book about The Saint. The artwork was very good and the stories were mostly 20 to 25 pages long.
In Denmark the same magazine was printed, it was called "Helgenen".
In France "Le Saint" was printed with translation of the Swedish comic stories. In 1978, together with the screening of "Return of the Saint" several were reprinted with different covers.
In Spain the comicstrips were published under the title "El Santo"

Re: The Saint in comic strip magazines across Europe
Thank you for this information! I had no idea. From what you wrote, Sweden was the first country to publish a comic-book with The Saint? That feels honorable in some way
