The Saint Meets Miss Marple
Ian Ogilvy will be appearing in ITV’s latest adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple, starring alongside Julia McKenzie, who takes the title role of Jane Marple.
‘They Do It With Mirrors’ also stars Joan Collins, and is due to be screened in 2009.

I first read about this in the press.
IMDB are listing a US air-date of 19th July 09, but there is nothing yet for the UK.

Thanks!
Ian Ogilvy played the Saint when I was young (a couple of years ago ). After watching the shows again I find I still enjoy them very much. So I think it will be nice to watch Ian in a more recent performance.
Do you know if Ian also performs in plays in the UK (or is he too busy writing the Measle books in L.A.)?

Sadly the Measle books have run their course...at least until or if the film ever gets made.
Ian doesn't do much stage work any more, preferring to concentrate on his writing and the occasional bit of acting.
You can see him in Nia Vardolos' latest movie, My Life in Ruins, which came out in the US last month.

The Press Screening of 'A Pocket Full Of Rye', the first episode of the new Marple series, was on Thursday 16th July 09.
I would expect the series to be part of ITV's Autumn line-up, so we shouldn't have too long to wait to see Ian Ogilvy in action.

Interesting, cos ITV told me we'd have to wait until the Autumn to see it. But if they're running screenings this early makes me think they're wrong.

ITV started with the new Miss Marple series. I expect that the episode with Ian O. will be shown within a couple of weeks.
Impatient as I am I already downloaded the episode. It's very enjoyable and a good performance by Ian (and the other actors).
