NEW! TITANIC Pop-Up Book
I just got my latest Betty's Attic catalog in yesterday's snail mail. As I was thumbing through it, I happened upon an very interesting Titanic item that they're selling...
quote: NEW! Titanic Pop-Up Book
Discover the glory and the tragedy of the Titanic with this interactive recreation of her maiden voyage featuring an impressive 2 1/2-foot long pop-up, fold-out model of the liner. Also contains a 32-page full-color book tracing the events that led to her tragic end, six pop-up scenes of the interior, replicas of menu cards, and a first-class ticket, mini-newspaper, deck plan and personal histories of both victims and survivors. All in a beautifully-designed case with magnetic closure.
EP-53718 $29.99 (plus $6.98 S & H)
It is found on page 68 in the above catalog, and here is the snail mail address and website link:

I saw something similar to this item in one of the shops aboard Queen Mary, that's located on her promenade deck. I wanted to get it, but I felt that I wouldn't have enough money for other collectibles I might find on my cruise.

Re: NEW! TITANIC Pop-Up Book
Yup, Lolly, it "is" cool!!! The pop-up book I looked at aboard Queen Mary, was of a silvery-cover in design, which made it look most impressive.
This one has a color picture of Titanic leaving Southampton, April 10th, 1912.

Hmmm. If you can possibly find it at Barnes & Noble, then perhaps I too can find it at Hastings, my local book & video store. Eh?
However the case, please do let me know if whether or not you were successful. Okay?
Anyhoo, you're most welcome, Wills.

Re: NEW! TITANIC Pop-Up Book
At that Betty's Attic link in my opening thread, I clicked on it, and then I simply typed in TITANIC Pop-Up book into that Advanced Search blank, and clicked on Go!
Immediately the above book came into view. Click directly on it, it'll take you to a much closer look of it. Then directly under its photo, there's a place which to click on to enlarge the picture.
You should try it. OK?
And yes, I believe you're right. That eBay pictured TITANIC Pop-Up book is indeed a copy of the one I found aboard Queen Mary.

Re: NEW! TITANIC Pop-Up Book
Hey Wills--
On page 170 of our latest THS's TITANIC Commutator, Vol. 31 - No. 179, 2007 issue, are pictures of both Titanic Pop-Up books. Check out pages 168 & 170.
On the latter page, is "the" one I saw aboard Queen Mary. It's titled TITANIC: The Ship of Dreams by Duncan Crosbie, and its List #8TSD07, and priced at $18.99.

It certainly was!!!
On its front cover, it pictured Will's Adriatic ship's huge stern w/her twin screws in dry-dock...as well as on the back cover, a beautifully built model of her to boot. Will would be proud, wouldn't he?
I thoroughly enjoyed the article that accompanied it in the Commutator as well.
It would be wonderful to seeing you posting more on WTS...it really really would!!!
Why, thank you, and vice-versa on both the Christmas & New Years' wishes too!!! I too, had wonderful holidays...for which we spent with our auntie & uncle (Will's lookalike).
New Years this year, I wasn't going to go, b/c I hate dressing-up in formal attire and staying up late until midnight, but...
Then my DSIL reassured me that we wouldn't have to do either, and that she didn't want to stay too long past 9:30 p.m. (MT). So then I changed my mind and went with her. I'm glad I did.
