That's desert living, for you... but it's dry air we're dealing with out here. It's atleast better than humid-type heat...plus it's cooler down our way, which is south of town.
My late Mom taught me a trick to staying cool. I fill a pan with cold water, then I fill a pitcher up with ice cubes (my frige makes its own ice), and pour them into the pan. Mom also added SeaBreeze (which I don't have) to the cold water. Then I take an old towel, fold it up and place it into the ice-cubed water for a while. When I get ready to use it, I simply squeeze the water out of it, and put the now wet towel around my neck and clamp a barrett clip to it to hold it in place. The dripping water from the towel wets my blouse, which helps me to stay cool.
That way, I beat the heat. Cool!!! Huh!?!

Hi Ma,
Yeah I have actually done that a long time ago . It does work. At least for a while.
Anyway how is the weather out there now has it cooled off any?
It has here a bit ... though it still can get pretty "sticky" because of the humidity.
